4 or 5 years later i regretted giving it away and tried to get it back but it was gone. couple years later i got it back and it bounced around with me till 2004 when i gave it to another friend for his kids. it got stolen from him and later recovered. but a few years later got a car and sold the bike to a friend. only mallet stem i could find was silver which i left that way. the only decal set the local bike shop had was what i now know to be 91 vertigo's pink & yellow on black background. i had seen a couple all white bikes (a friends 87 gt pft to be specific) and decided that was it. it deserved to be pretty so the fallowing spring i stripped it down. i pieced it together with money from mowing lawns and walking dogs. I was 12 years old in the summer of 91 and i finally got my dream bike, a maui blue gt performer! it was only the frame and fork and was in really rough shape but it was mine.
